Reduces wiring costs and maintenance efforts while providing a scalable, long-lasting solution for modern traffic detection. - Multi Sensor Fusion (patented)
The COM HUB’s ability to seamlessly track (require overlapping radar beams) all traffic participants across the entire intersection, including the inner area, sets it apart from traditional systems. - Advanced Multi-Sensor Coordination
With up to 4 sensors integrated, the COM HUB Family devices cover all approaches of an intersection, offering a full-field view and overlapping radar beams that create redundancy for improved accuracy.
Key features of the
COM HUB devices
01
Sensor Connectivity
The COM HUB Relay 8 supports up to 2 sensors (either TOPGRD or TRUGRD, but not both simultaneously), while the COM HUB Relay 24 (like the COM HUB) can handle up to 4 sensors. This flexibility allows you to tailor the system to your needs, whether for a smaller setup or a larger, more complex installation.
02
Relay Outputs
The COM HUB Relay 8 offers 8 relay outputs, providing direct control for traffic light systems and other connected devices. For larger setups, the COM HUB Relay 24 supports 56 relay outputs when combined with the Relay 32 XP Module, allowing for complex control systems with many relay-triggered actions. The COM HUB can also be combined with the 32 XP module.
03
Power Line Communication (PLC)
PLC technology reduces the need for extensive wiring. Using just 3 wires and supporting distances up to 300 meters, it provides high-bandwidth communication that ensures reliable data transfer in demanding environments, all while simplifying the installation process.
04
LAN/MQTT Support
With LAN and MQTT integration, the COM HUB Relay 8/24 ensures seamless connectivity to modern traffic control systems. These protocols provide simple, standardized integration with intelligent traffic light controllers, making the system highly adaptable to a wide range of use cases.
05
Seamless AI Tracking
Optimized for Super Resolution AI tracking, the COM HUB Relay 24 provides accurate vehicle tracking with minimal dead zones, offering enhanced traffic detection and classification.
06
Traffic Web UI for Easy Setup
Configuration and diagnostics are handled directly through the Traffic Web UI, accessible via direct LAN connection or Wi-Fi using the web browser. This user-friendly interface eliminates the need for separate software, making the system easy to manage and set up in the field.
07
Real-Time Consolidated Object List
Objects will be tracked seamlessly (requires overlapping radar beams). This leads to one single object list available in real-time for Automated Vehicles (AV) and for V2X applications.
08
Lightning Protection
Surge and lightning protection for sensors and cabinet equipment.

COM HUB Relay 24 – More Power, More Flexibility
The COM HUB Relay 24 offers all the features of the COM HUB Relay 8, plus the ability to connect to up to 4 sensors and provide 56 relay outputs when paired with the Relay 32 XP Module. This makes it the perfect choice for more complex traffic detection setups where a greater number of sensors and relay outputs are required.
Ideal for larger installations or advanced configurations, the COM HUB Relay 24 ensures you have the power and flexibility to manage high-demand traffic systems.
impressive advantages

Reduced Wiring
With Power Line Communication (PLC), the need for traditional wiring is significantly reduced, saving time and cost on installation.

Flexible Connectivity
The system offers versatile communication options, including LAN, MQTT, and VPN, allowing for easy integration with existing traffic management systems and secure remote access for maintenance or troubleshooting.

Scalable Solution
Whether you need a basic setup with 2 sensors or a more advanced configuration with 4 sensors and 56 relays (64 Outputs with COM HUB + SDLC Module), the COM HUB Family devices scale to meet the needs of different traffic environments.

No Additional Software
The Traffic Web UI provides an all-in-one platform for system setup, diagnostics, and monitoring, eliminating the need for separate user interface software or complex installations.

Future-Proof Design
The combination of MQTT, PLC, and LAN ensures the system can adapt to future technological advances, making it a smart investment for long-term infrastructure projects.
Where to use?
APPLICATIONS OF COM HUB Relay 8/24
Signalized Intersections
The COM HUB Relay 8 is perfect for smaller installations, only requiring a couple of outputs per radar and per approach, such as monitoring side streets at signalized intersections. By connecting two TOPGRD Stop+Advance sensors, you can do vehicle presence detection to improve traffic flow and signal timing.

Highway Detection
For highway applications, the COM HUB Relay Devices can support remote sensors, providing reliable connectivity via PLC. This makes it ideal for systems where sensors are placed far from the controller cabinet. LAN/MQTT allows standard connectivity to the network, ensuring consistent data transmission.
Ready for next-generation traffic control
Switching to object-based data transmission via MQTT eliminates the need for predefined radar zones and paves the way for more intelligent, adaptive traffic control. Modern controllers can use this rich real-time data to optimize flow based on every vehicle, bike, and pedestrian approaching the intersection.
