Turning Movement Counts
Our latest technology release "Seamless Tracking" exploits the overlapping fields of view of multiple sensors to cover the entire intersection. Any object is detected at 200m (656ft) distance and will be tracked seamlessly over the full intersection, while its object (tracking) ID remains the same. This gives valuable information on travel paths of all traffic participants, including precise turning movement counts.
Reliable turning movement counts can be used to improve the efficiency of the intersection in the long-term, improve the traffic flow and increase the safety of all road users, especially Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs).
The synced raw data of all sensors are processed centrally in our edge device to create one single object list in real-time: it also delivers precise data for V2X applications, especially for autonomous vehicles (AV).
