smartmicro Mobile Speed Enforcement products have one unique feature: they can not only measure the speed of all other vehicles around the car, but also the ego speed of the vehicle where the sensor is fitted. The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) has now tested the ego-speed measurement of our UMRR-11 Type 132 radar sensor in this application. METAS is known for setting very high standards.

In the speed range from 10 to 120 km/h, mean velocity deviations between just 0.02 and 0.06 km/h were achieved. This incredible accuracy allows the system to measure the absolute speeds of all other vehicles around the car with highest precision – perfectly ready for speed enforcement whilst driving.
