Sustainability is one of the key pillars of smartmicro’s mission. Our technology optimizes traffic flow, shortens travel times, and reduces gridlocked traffic and congestion. Especially in major transit cities or busy capitals, the need for traffic management without interfering with existing infrastructure is exceptionally high, due to the challenges of urbanization and growing traffic volumes. Implementing a traffic management system based on high-performance detection technology will lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions on a global scale.
smartmicro has set the keyword ‘Green Company’ as a goal. We want to inspire our partners to put effort into reducing emissions through our technology and actions as a business. Since 2011, smartmicro has exclusively used wood pellets for heating. The headquarter’s buildings are fully computerized and equipped with motion sensors to control heating, air conditioning, and lighting. Thanks to the rooftop solar panels, almost all the electricity needed at the company site, including the requirements of our in-house production, can be generated independently. This makes our buildings maximally energy efficient to reduce carbon emissions. Plus you can find more than 50 charging stations for electric vehicles on our parking lot – free charging for our employees.
