COM HUB Sync PLC is an edge device for intersections, that serves as a centralized hub connecting and synchronizing up to 6 sensors via HD-Power Line Communication (PLC) to collect their data simultaneously. Using simple, inexpensive wiring, 3 wires, up to 300m, it nevertheless delivers high-bandwidth connection between sensors and our COM HUB edge device. COM HUB delivers all data for a complete intersection, radar and video in one view.
And now we go the next step: Syncing the time stamps of all connected sensors. We can do it so precisely, that each radar device can select a time slot to transmit the radar signals when all other sensors are silent. This completely eliminates interference between sensors operating in the same frequency band. The quality of the data, and consequently the performance and reliability of the whole intersection detection system is much improved.
