Today smartmicro is proud to introduce the newest member of the TRUGRD family: TRUGRD Lite, a high-performance sensor dedicated to the specific requirements of North American road infrastructure.
While TRUGRD and TRUGRD Stream are successfully used for intersection management all over the world, TRUGRD Lite is available for the USA and Canada only. TRUGRD Lite is an efficient solution for installations requiring simple presence detection at the stop bar: such as junctions and corners, without the necessity of advance detection. Offering a highly accurate detection in a range of up to 400ft (122m), TRUGRD Lite is the perfect solution for covering smaller intersections and side streets, typical for North American cities.
TRUGRD Lite can be used in a mixed setup with TRUGRD and TRUGRD Stream, as well as smartmicro's edge device COM HUB. The selection of sensors from the TRUGRD Line enables projects in the USA and Canada to combine the most cost-efficient simple stop bar detection with lane-specific advance detection.
