The professional journal "Straßenverkehrstechnik" dedicates a special issue to the new "Road Safety Pact" of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. Our key motivation has always been to make roads safer for all traffic participants, from pedestrians and bicyclists to large trucks.
The "Road Safety Pact" is a common strategy for road safety activities, aiming to reduce the number of road fatalities in Germany by 40 % until 2030. The activities range from safe walking and full inclusion of people with disabilities, over improving highway culture, to future-proof speed regulations and standards for road design and vehicle development.
