TOPGRD is a cost-effective radar with a compact form factor and low power consumption, providing reliable detection for intersections and highways. The traffic management sensor with pixel-high definition (PxHD) resolution detects stopped and moving vehicles as well as Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) in both: approaching and receding travel directions.

TOPGRD delivers high-performance traffic detection with 77 GHz radar technology and advanced 4D measurement with PxHD resolution. It covers up to 10 lanes with a range of up to 240 m and a wide 100° field of view, reliably detecting up to 256 traffic objects at once — from vehicles to VRUs — across complex traffic environments.

TOPGRD eliminates the need for costly and disruptive road works for installation. One smartmicro sensor replaces up to 32 loops with configurable detection zones and does not require maintenance. The combined stop bar and advance detection with a single device saves hardware costs.

Forward-Firing

TOPGRD uses advanced forward-firing beams, offering significant advantages. Looking along the road, the mounting position is more flexible. Its wide beam allows flexible roadside mounting (poles, gantries, etc.) at moderate heights, minimizing occlusion issues and providing the best coverage possible.

Seamless Tracking at Intersection

Seamless Tracking

Multiple TOPGRD sensors can be used at one intersection and synch together via an edge device. The delivered data is collected and combined into a single, consolidated object list, enabling seamless tracking of all vehicles and other road users throughout the entire intersection. Seamless Tracking assigns unique IDs to each tracked object, ensuring highly accurate turning movement counts and enabling precise analysis of complex movements such as through/right turns or left/U-turns from a single lane.

TOPGRD uses brand-new perception algorithms running on high-performance processors. Super Resolution AI Tracking maximizes our sensors’ ability to accurately detect, count, and classify vehicles across multiple lanes.
