This Wednesday, the Sun is taking a short break. Our traffic detection isn’t.
On 12 August, the Moon will pass between Earth and the Sun. Greenland, Iceland, Spain and a small part of Portugal will experience a total solar eclipse, while much of the rest of Europe will see the Sun partially covered.
For a short time, daylight will change quite dramatically.
Fortunately, good lighting has never been a requirement for smartmicro radar.
smartmicro radar sensors do not rely on visible light to detect road users. They measure range, speed and position using radar reflections and continue working reliably in sunlight, glare, darkness, rain, fog and snow.
The eclipse may be difficult to miss. Traffic shouldn’t be.
